탠 투자전략가는 현재 한국 증시를 화려한 '공작새'에 비유되는 반도체 기업들과 여전히 잠자고 있는 '호랑이'인 저평가 우량주가 공존하는 형국으로 묘사했다. 실제로 AI 붐에 따라 반도체 기업들의 실적 전망치가 뛰었다. 문제는 지수의 쏠림 현상이다. 삼성전자와 SK하이닉스가 코스피 시가총액의 약 53%를 차지하는 상황에서 지난 5월 기준 두 종목을 제외한 나머지 시장의 수익률은 약 5%에 불과했다.

KT가 5년간 18조 원을 투자해 '인공지능 전환(AX) 플랫폼 컴퍼니'로 체질을 바꾼다. 기존 통신망 제공 사업자에 더해 인공지능(AI) 인프라와 플랫폼을 함께 운영하는 기업으로 '두 마리 토끼'를 한꺼번에 잡겠다는 계획이다. 박윤영 KT 대표는 6일 서울 광진구 풀만 앰배서더 서울 이스트폴에서 취임 후 첫 기자간담회를 열고 이 같은 전략을 발표했다. KT는 정보보안 및 정보기술(IT) 분야에 4조 원, 네트워크 분야에 8조 원, AI데이터센터와 해저케이블 등 AI 인프라에 6조 원을 각각 투입한다. KT는 또 기업들이 토큰(AI 데이터 처리 단위) 사용량과 비용을 관리할 수 있는 '토큰 팩토리' 플랫폼을 앞으로 핵심 신사업으로 키울 방침이다.

On the 6th, KT CEO Park Yoon-young held his first press briefing since taking office at the Pullman Ambassador Seoul Eastpole in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, and announced this strategy.
KT will invest 4 trillion won in information security and IT, 8 trillion won in networks, and 6 trillion won in AI infrastructure such as AI data centers and submarine cables.
KT also plans to grow a 'Token Factory' platform — which lets companies manage token (AI data processing unit) usage and costs — into a core new business.

The medical devices division and the Korea sales organization, which handles domestic sales, will receive 75%.
The Mobile eXperience (MX) unit handling Galaxy smartphones, the Video Display (VD) unit handling TV business, the network unit, Samsung Research (SR), management support, and other organizations are set at 50%.
The DA unit, responsible for home appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners, will receive 25%.
