이재명 대통령은 29일 청와대 영빈관에서 열린 '대한민국 대도약 3대 메가프로젝트 국민보고회'행사에 참석한 이재용 삼성전자 회장과 최태원 SK그룹 회장에게 파격적인 경의를 표했다. 이 대통령은 이날 발표가 끝난 후 두 회장을 지목하며 "이 두 분을 국가 영웅, 국민 영웅이라 부르고 싶다"고 치켜세웠다. 이어 연단 중앙에서 두 회장을 향해 차례로 허리를 90도로 숙이며 정중하게 인사했다.

세계적 기계공학 석학 배충식 교수 '카이스트 AI시대' 이끈다
배 신임 총장은 1963년생으로 대전고와 서울대 항공공학과를 졸업하고 영국 임페리얼 칼리지 런던에서 기계공학부 박사 학위를 취득했다. KAIST와의 인연은 1988년 조교 활동으로 시작됐다. 1998년 교수로 부임한 후 기계항공공학부장, 공과대학 학장 등 주요 보직을 역임했다. 2000년 인기 드라마였던 '카이스트'의 자문도 맡았다.
The new President Bae, born in 1963, graduated from Daejeon High School and Seoul National University's Department of Aeronautical Engineering, and earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London in the UK.
His connection with KAIST began in 1988 through work as a teaching assistant.
After joining as a professor in 1998, he served in key positions such as head of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and dean of the College of Engineering.
In 2000 he also served as an adviser to the popular drama 'KAIST.'
정부 "반도체 등 3대 메가프로젝트에 1500조원 이상 투자"...반도체 팹 4기 호남권에 800조원 투자
김정관 산업통상부 장관은 이날 보고회에서 3대 메가 프로젝트별 투자 계획을 소개했다. 구체적으로 서남권에 총 800조원 규모의 반도체 팹 4기와 협력사 등 생태계를 구축하고, 충청권에는 81조원 투자를 통해 패키징 거점을 육성한다. 동남권·대구경북권에 소부장(소재·부품·장비) 혁신 거점을 조성하기로 했다. 차세대 메모리 등 성장 가능성이 높은 반도체 시장 확보에도 앞으로 15년간 30조원 이상의 재원을 투입한다.
Industry Minister Kim Jeong-gwan presented the investment plans for each of the three mega projects at the briefing.
Specifically, they will build an ecosystem including four semiconductor fabs and partner companies in the southwest region with a total scale of 800 trillion won, and develop a packaging hub in the Chungcheong region with an 81-trillion-won investment.
They decided to create innovation hubs for materials, parts, and equipment (so-bu-jang) in the southeast and Daegu–North Gyeongsang regions.
They will also allocate more than 30 trillion won of funding over the next 15 years to secure semiconductor markets with high growth potential, such as next-generation memory.
