26일 법조계에 따르면 수원지법 형사9부(부장 김준혁)는 중대재해처벌등에관한법률위반(산업재해치사) 등 혐의로 기소된 주식회사 SPL에 벌금 20억 원을, 강 전 대표에게 징역 2년에 집행유예 3년을 선고했다. 이들에게 각각 벌금 1억 원, 징역 1년에 집행유예 2년을 선고한 원심은 파기했다. 공장장 A씨(금고 10개월에 집행유예 2년) 등 공장 관계자 3명의 형은 원심대로 유지됐다.

The appeals court overturned the lower court ruling that had fined them 100 million won each and sentenced them to one year in prison with a two-year suspended sentence.
The sentences for three factory officials, including plant manager A (10 months in prison, suspended for 2 years), were kept the same as in the original ruling.
