SK하이닉스, HBM4E 샘플 공급...격화하는 HBM 전쟁
SK하이닉스는 HBM4E 12단 샘플을 주요 고객사들에 공급했다고 18일 밝혔다. HBM은 여러 개의 D램을 수직으로 쌓아 데이터 처리 속도를 높인 메모리 반도체로, 엔비디아 등 AI 가속기에 필수적으로 탑재된다. HBM4E는 엔비디아가 하반기 출시할 예정인 AI 가속기 '베라 루빈'에 들어가는 'HBM4'의 다음 제품이다. 내년 출시 예정인 '베라 루빈 울트라'에 HBM4E가 탑재된다.
SK Hynix said on the 18th that it has supplied 12-high HBM4E samples to major customers.
HBM is a memory semiconductor that stacks multiple DRAM chips vertically to raise data-processing speed, and it is essential in AI accelerators such as NVIDIA's.
HBM4E is the successor to 'HBM4', which goes into NVIDIA's AI accelerator 'Vera Rubin' scheduled for release in the second half of the year.
HBM4E will be installed in next year's 'Vera Rubin Ultra', which is scheduled for release.
