한화에어로스페이스, 민·군 겸용 4500파운드급 항공엔진 개발 착수... 2029년 목표
한화에어로스페이스는 우주항공청과 함께 미래 항공 전장 핵심 전력인 무인기용 항공엔진 개발에 착수한다고 26일 밝혔다. 민관협력을 바탕으로 오는 2029년까지 민수용으로 확장 가능한 4500파운드(lbf)급 무인기 엔진을 국내 기술로 개발한다는 목표다. 국내에서 민·군 겸용 항공엔진을 개발하는 것은 이번이 처음이다. 군의 경우 유인 전투기와 함께 다양한 임무를 수행하는 협동전투무인기(CCA, Collaborative Combat Aircraft) 체계 확보를 목표로 한다.
