연간 35조원 규모 국가 연구·개발(R&D) 예산 심의에 사상 처음으로 인공지능(AI)이 투입된다. 각 부처가 제출한 R&D 사업 계획을 AI가 먼저 훑어 기존 사업과 겹치는지, 과거 심의에서 어떤 쟁점이 있었는지, 예산 낭비 요인은 없는지 찾아내는 방식이다. 기술 발전이 빨라지고 사업 수가 급증하면서 R&D 예산 심사 전문위원들이 일일이 자료를 검토하기 어려워진 가운데, 정부 예산 심의에 처음으로 AI 활용이 시도되는 것이다.
