総務省は携帯電話の電波を送受信する基地局について、2027年秋から再免許の審査を厳しくする方針だ。 高速通信規格の5G普及に向けて設置計画の妥当性を審査する。 人工知能（AI）の浸透などによるデータ通信量の膨張に対応する。
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications plans to tighten re-licensing reviews for base stations that transmit and receive mobile phone signals starting autumn 2027.
It will review whether installation plans are appropriate to promote the spread of the high-speed 5G standard.
This responds to the surge in data traffic driven by factors like the spread of artificial intelligence (AI).
