河川敷に男性の遺体、カードで現金引き出した知人の男を逮捕 群馬：朝日新聞
さらにその後の捜査で、男の関係先として群馬県伊勢崎市長沼町の利根川河川敷が浮上。 周辺を捜索したところ、同29日までに小渕さんの遺体が見つかった。 遺体のほとんどは土中に埋まった状態で、死後しばらく経過していた。 損傷が激しく、解剖の結果、死因は不詳だったという。
