グローバルスターは、衛星通信サービスの大手事業者。 アマゾンは既存の衛星やインフラを取得することにより、サービスを拡大する。 買収額は約116億米ドルで、株式交換もしくは現金で取得する。 議決権の約58％を有する株主と合意しており、買収は2027年までに完了する見通し。
