平潭边检站紧急救助故障外籍船舶入境检修

Authorities said the Panamanian cargo ship BAM STAR, which had departed Kaohsiung for Zhenjiang, suffered a main-engine failure in the Taiwan Strait. The vessel then asked the Pingtan border inspection station for help and requested expedited entry for repairs.
At the time, the ship was carrying more than 42,000 tonnes of iron ore toward Zhenjiang, with 22 crew members on board.
