At the report meeting, Tegebajaro Miyazaki president Isao Miyamoto said, "I think we showed the kind of football that moves people. The real test is the J2 League, which starts now. We want to prepare well and aim for J1 together with all of you."

男女各３人で戦う新種目の混合団体は、シングルス代表の各２人の他、協会の強化本部が選ぶ１人が代表となる。 ダブルス種目は、混合団体のメンバーの中で「最も国際競争力が高い」と強化本部が判断したペアを選出。 混合団体の出場権を獲得できなかった場合は選考方法を改めて定める。
In the new mixed-team event, which is contested by three men and three women, the team will consist of the two singles representatives plus one additional player chosen by the association's high-performance department.
For the doubles events, the high-performance department will choose the pair it judges to be the most internationally competitive from among the mixed-team members.
If Japan fails to qualify for the mixed-team event, the selection method will be set again separately.
